All coaches and referees will be required to attend training conferences. Dates and times will be provided by the Sports Ministry Office
By checking I agree, I hereby pledge to live up to my responsibility as a Lake Pointe Coach by following the Lake Pointe Sports Coaches Code of Ethics. 1. I will model Christ-like behavior in every aspect f my coaching duties both on and off the court 2. I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win 3. I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical developments of children 4. I will do my best to provide a safe playing environment for my players 5. I will review and practice basic first aid principles needed to treat injuries of my players 6. I will organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players 7. I will be accountable for all my players at both games and practices and will not leave the facility until all of my players have been picked up 8. I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship 9. I will provide a sports environment for my team that is free of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and abusive language and will refrain from their use at all Lake Pointe sporting events 10. I will be knowledgable in the rules of the game, and I will teach these rules to my players 11. I will only use appropriate touch with my players and/or their siblings at all times 12. I will remember that I am youth sports coach, and that the game is for children...not adults.   I Agree
